Lemon Rasam


Lemon Rasam


Ingredients:

Medium size tomato - 3
Rasam powder - 2tsp (optional)
Water- 4 cups
Pepper - 1 tbls
Jeera - 1 tbls
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds-1tbls
Curry leaves - little bit
Oil -1tbls
Lemon - 1
Garlic- 5 pods

Procedure:

  Squeeze tomatoes, turmeric powder,rasam powder and salt in water.  Keep this mixture in stove and allow it to boil for 2 minutes.  Make a coarse grind of pepper, jeera and garlic.  Now add the grinded mixture to the rasam. Now leave the rasam to bubble and turnoff the flame and add the lemon juice.
Now place a pan in the stove and add oil to it.  Put some mustards seeds to sputter and add asofodita, curry leaves and transfer the mixture to the rasam.
Lemon rasam is ready to serve.  Garnish with some coriander leaves.

    I made lemon rasam today which is very tangy.We drank it :-)..It was very nice.
