Pomegranate Rose Milk Shake

Ingredients:

   Pomegranate - kernels of 1 medium sized pomegranate 
   Milk - 1 cup
   Water - 1/2 cup
   Rose Milk  essence - 2 tablespoons (will also has sugar)
   Sugar - As required
   




Procedure:

   Blend pomegranate kernel,water,milk,sugar in the mixer.
   Filter the mixture and add rose essence,ice cubes to it.
   Pomegranate Rose Milk shake is ready to serve.

Kid's Special Variety Dosa


Kid's Special Variety Dosa


Ingredients:

   Finely grated carrot - 1 
   Finely grated beetroot - 1
   Onions - 4 chopped (length wise.should not be chopped in smaller pieces)
   Pepper - 1 spoon
   Oil - 2 tablespoons
   Ghee - 2 tablespoons
   Salt - As required
   Dosa dough


Procedure:

    Add oil to the pan and allow it to get heated.
    Add onions to the pan and stir it.
    Once onions are fried,add pepper,salt
    
Kid's special onion dosa:

       Make dosa on the dosa pan and sprinkle onions on it (onions should be sprinkled as soon dosa batter has been applied on the pan otherwise onions may not be stuck to it)
       Apply ghee on all sides of the dose.
       Turn the dosa upside down carefully.Please make sure that onions are not separated from it.
       Delicious onion dose is ready to serve!

Koovakaai Simple Fry

Ingredients:

   Koovakaai - 1/2 kg
   Chili powder - 11/2 spoons
   Turmeric powder - 1/2 spoons
   Coriander powder - 1/2 spoons
   Grated coconut -  2 tablespoons.
   Salt - As required

Procedure:

  Add koovakaai and water in the pressure pan and allow it cook until it releases 1 whistle.
  Once koovakaai is taken from pan,add oil to the tava and add cooked koovakaai,chili powder and salt.
  Stir the above mixture until it is cooked.
  Add grated coconut in the last stage of cooking process and serve it.

This is the easiest way of cooking Koovakai.

Tanjore special Nookal Sambar


Nookal Sambar


Ingredients:

   Medium size Nookal - 3 (chopped)
   Small onions - 12
   Tomatoes - 4
   Toor dhal - 3/4 cup
   Moong dhal - 1/4 cup (Wash moong dhal and toor dhal in water)
   Tamarind - 1/2 lemon size (Soak in water for few minutes,squeeze and keep the tamarind juice ready)
   Green chili - 3
   Jeera - 1 tablespoon
   Mustard - 1 teaspoon
   Curry leaves 
   Garlic - 10 pods
   Oil - 4 tablespoon
   Asafoeteda - 1/2 teaspoon
   Turmeric powder - 1 spoon
   Sambar powder - 2 spoons
   Salt - As required
   

Procedure:

   Add toor dal, moong dhal,turmeric powder,asafetida,garlic,1/2 Jeera,1 table spoon of oil  and 3 cups water(add more water if required as the content has to be dipped completely in water)  to the pressure pan.Allow the mixture to get boiled.Smash dal mixture.
   Wait till the pressure pan releases 4 whistles.(Number of whistles may vary.Please make sure that the content is cooked).Once the steam is completely released,open the lid and smash the content.
   Add 3 tablespoons of oil , mustard and jeera to the pan.
   Once the mixture sputters,add small onions to the pan and stir the same.
   Once small onions are cooked,add tomatoes, sambar powder,salt  and wait till it gets cooked.
   Add nookal once tomatoes are cooked.
   Stir the mixture until vegetables are cooked.
   Add tamarind juice (make sure all vegetables are cooked before adding tamarind juice) to the mixture.Allow it to boil until it completely releases its raw smell.
   Add dal mixture from the pressure pan to the tamarind juice vegetable mixture.Allow the content to boil.
   Taste the mixture and add salt or sambar powder as per the demand.
   Garnish it with coriander and serve it.
